Cascadia for the win!
Cascadia for the win!
I’ve long thought the country would be better off as 5 to 10 smaller countries. Three years ago, we moved from a very red state to a very blue state so that when shit hits the fan, we’re in a place where progressive ideals should win out. (*we also moved for climate, job opportunities, and less tin foil hat…
Somehow it will be the Democrats fault. Clinton (either one) or Obama in particular.
I agree with you - my kids are 6 and 9. Sometimes I do things that are a lot of work just to make them happy. Other times I veto their elaborate plans because mama is basically lazy. I actually think most moms have their own “for the kids” stuff balanced with “mama’s too lazy” stuff. That said, I enjoy movies with…
One of the scariest things about him is that he genuinely believes what he says when he says it. And he’s completely capable of talking himself into an opposing opinion later if it suits his needs. There are a lot of really good salespeople who can do this. It’s a personality trait (don’t know enough about narcissism…
I become irrationally angry every time I see “fat free half and half” on the shelf. That’s not even a thing that’s possible! If it’s fat free, it’s not half and half!
The difficulty finding whole milk yogurt is basically the reason I started making my own. I hate the way low fat and non fat is considered superior and perfect in America.
I would never hire someone who called herself a mom-tographer.
I think, ultimately, progressive ideals will win, but it’s not going to happen quickly. We’re stuck with Republicans in power for at least 6 more years, at which point democrats may be able to take the house *if* courts require new districts to be drawn up by bipartisan/independent commissions. If gerrymandering isn’t…
I think the couple lived in CO, but the only place they could marry at the time was MA. I haven’t read to be sure, but I’d guess they were getting married in MA then having a reception/celebration at home.
I agree with you and would only add a company size requirement. It’s got to be really small to justify a *personal* religious justification - probably fewer than 10 employees.
“Prescriptions will go up 900%. Probably not true, but they will go up, and you can guarantee find one that will go up 900%”
I’ve always thought trump was just the guy put in front of the operation while someone else plans and pulls strings. I’m not convinced Putin is the brains behind it all but I’m not convinced he’s not the brains either. It’s always seemed like someone started manipulating pieces into place 15 years ago (I think bush’s…
There are a lot of people who are generally unhappy with the government and taxes or whatever. They vote for whichever candidate seems to be representing change that year regardless of party or policy. It’s part of the reason Obama won and Clinton lost. It’s the main reason neither party can hold the white house for…
This is the best case scenario. Then democrats need to get a qualified, but still unknown, candidate in 2020 - someone who will attract the “change at all costs” crowd, but has the intelligence and charisma to accomplish good things. I don’t have any faith the DNC will do this.
I need to point out that the reasonable pay was due to unions. Even if coal mining suddenly had a resurgence and the jobs became plentiful, the demonization of unions means the jobs wouldn’t be good by any definition.
Advertising and art aren’t mutually exclusive. Most art was bought and paid for by a third party for purposes beyond being art. The Catholic church commissioned Michaelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel to glorify themselves. Does that intent diminish the artistic integrity of the project?
“disgraced former president Donald trump”
Wait. Dinosaurs were on the Ark but they also died in the flood? What?
Not only was the tune simple, he has poor technique. This was way less impressive than they wanted it to be.
