I get why you include it, but as much as I loved the Matt Smith run, I'd be tempted to forget it to resolve the continuity problems rather than this episode. I lost my mother at a young age to sudden death (heart problems), so that episode resonated pretty personally with me.
"Father's Day" is the one episode on this list I wish had stuck.
Yeah, I love this episode.
The creatures were silly, but the emotional core of this episode make it absolutely essential viewing.
