Points taken, but the table means only one thing for me: stick with my Toyota.

Your remark about BMW parts reminds me of the time I needed to go into our local BMW dealer and get a new lug bolt for one of the wheels (dad tried changing his own...and lost one). They needed to know exactly what year the car was, not just the generation, because the angle of the threads had changed at some point.…
I save on my maintenance for my Mercedes by not taking it to the dealer for maintenance.
That is why I go nuts when I see the articles showing you can pick up a luxobarge or a car that was expensive (BMW 8xx series) when new but pick it up for 20 grand now. One or two repairs and that cost savings is out the window. Even if you have a portfolio of all the repair, maintenance and recall info, you have no…
The reason Lexus ranks so low is because the car uses Toyota parts....
I’m curious about this...since I own several BMW’s and the MAINTENANCE is not $2K per year. In fact, it’s much closer to about $500 per year and that’s just because I drive about 20K per year. Oil changes for me at the dealer for both of mine are only $100 per trip.
Can I get ungrayed please? I've been on other sites for a while
I certainly would cross shop. Even if i have a brand that i prefer i always check out the competition. brand loyalty is no excuse to accept garbage.
For some people the best car is the one they never have to think about. It always works and is cheap to own and run, there’s nothing wrong with that.
In the 1st 10 years I’ve owned my BMW 325i, I spent roughly $4500 on maintenance items, including at least 8 full synthetic oil changes (the 1st 4 years were covered by BMW for free), 3 sets of tires* (not including the snow tires I also bought), 2 radiator flushes*, 6 spark plugs and coil packs*, all 4 rotors and…
My suggestion, test drive them. You may find the Rav doesnt handle much better once you swap the standard minivan tires for lower profiles. I test drove everything from a Grand Cherokee to an Escalade to a Prius V and frankly, unless you’re getting a sports car, they all handle like boats.
