You also have more strict enforcement of speed limits in Europe, and anything that isn’t a car gets severe limits (60MPH maximum on UK motorways, 80-100km/h in most other countries)

This is correct. Also consider that with a fifth wheel, the load is directly over the rear axle, which leads to a much easier time of exceeding the GAWR of the rear axle itself.

You can tow anything at slow speeds. Especially when not putting a vertical load on the vehicle.

Somewhat practical? Yeah. It is somewhat practical... And it’s a great bargain and starting platform for a trail truck. Sad that Toyota stopped selling the FJ Cruiser, but I guess the sales didn’t really justify it (and while Toyota has a ton of heritage with the Land Cruiser, it doesn’t have the instant recognition

Not that great for a daily driver, and not that great for a track car.

If someone has $1M in assets, and still needs financial advice from Dave Ramsey, something isn’t adding up there...

Can someone explain to me why some people are so damned afraid of high mileage?

A slug, as all GM trucks with the 6.2 Detroit Diesel non-turbo were. Best to get a 6.5 Detroit Diesel turbo if one isn’t wanting to muck in Duramax land.

the kind of people who purchased Hummers saw their Las Vegas-area construction businesses fail because property suddenly had approximately the same value as an extension cord.

False. They were very reliable. At breaking.

It’s not just the total weight, but also where that weight is. My Audi + 18 foot trailer is about 6000 pounds, but a good chunk of that (read: the engine) is at the front of the trailer.

T12 at Road Atlanta is about the scariest turn that I’ve ever experienced on track in my S4 (which will be taking a break after I run the National Corvette Museum track for seat and cage upgrades). There is no room to get things wrong, and you will have a crumpled car if you do get it wrong. The approach to 10a is up

You *could* get a Highlander with 4WD in the States, but it was optional and not that popular (since the market in the US was basically the Honda Pilot and Nissan Murano, and this was before the AWD craze in the US).

but the issue could be as simple as a sensor.

Probably because the 4 door Wrangler is actually called a “Wrangler Unlimited”. Both the two and four door F-150s are, well, F-150.

Also, a whole Lada power...

Not using metric sockets on metric bolts and instead trying to use the closest SAE size, rounding the bolt.

And for the first time ever, I actually agree with Tavarish...

Can’t we all just drive bro pickups with front license plates that have the following in mirrored text on them...
