No Curb Your Enthusiasm?

Can I throw in my favourite use of the C-Bomb?

By lower horn, do you mean the fleshy pink wand that he didn't procure at Ollivanders?

Did anyone see the original Danish series?

They've done four already? Crikey.

I quite like the idea that they're basically no better than lazy students finishing their homework on the way into school. Clearly I have exactly the right qualifications to work in a studio. Want to give me a job?

Minidiscs, though, were fantastic. Having spent a fortune on a portable MD player I stubbornly refused to acknowledge that I'd backed a loser in the format war for a long time.

My favourite televised use of a swearword, ever.

Cookio?

I think they survived to make Pinkerton, which I loved, but then drowned in an awful boating accident.

Jennifer Lopez in Out of Sight…. Can we pretend that after her lovely performance in that film, she decided to stay out of the limelight and raise a family.

Saw them in Glastonbury about 10 years ago. The crowd reacted in a completely primal way that I've never seen at a festival and the band performance was deserving of that response. Up to that point I'd unfairly dismissed them without appreciating how many excellent songs that they cracked out. Great band. Very sad

I've watched them about four times and they're great. I love their perfect blend of not taking themselves too seriously, yet also being far better than just about anyone else out there.

Yeah, this will stay with me for a long time. Thanks for the mammaries.

"You're too old, let go, it's over, nobody listens to techno."

Semisonic, 'Closing Time'

Whitesnake - Here I go again on my oooooowwwwwnnnn. Going down the only road I've ever knooooowwwwnnnnn. Like a drifter I was born to walk aloooooonnnneeeee. Etc.

That must really hurt

Yeah E.Buzz Miller, this and MCA were the only times I've felt truly gutted about a celeb dying. Beastie Boys were huge in my teens  and I thought they'd keep growing old with me, which they were. Likewise, the Sopranos defined TV for me in my twenties. Like MCA, Gandolfini was someone I expected I would get to

Roald Dahl was the only children's author to achieve an absolutely untouchable, legendary status among my generation (in the UK at least). Not quite on a par with what J.K. Rowling has achieved since, but  he didn't benefit from the movie industry marketing machine that sent Harry Potter truly stratospheric.
