The chances of it being made vary from day to day. They're eiderdown or up.
Smelly my cheese!
I think the next decade will be the tenties. I think calling this decade the firsties would be entirely appropriate.
Worst films of 2010?
Predictions here….
I'll second that
Since Transformers is the worst thing I've ever seen at the cinema, anyone who went to watch the sequel pretty much had it coming.
I insisted on watching the Little Shop of Horrors five times at the cinema, an achievement I wore as some badge of honour. That was a great film and one of Steve Martin's finest performances.
Badminton & Table tennis
I could never fathom why other kids at school opted for outdoor sports like football, when you could just stay inside and play Badminton and Table Tennis. I thought I had discovered some legal loophole in the school sports system that only the speccy Chinese and asthmatic children were aware…
Chewie gets killed in the Star Wars books? Thanks a lot! Where was your bloody spoiler alert?
Sorry, Passion Pit are the ugly ones, not Dirty Projectors… was looking at the wrong photo. The Dirty Projectors are actually quite attractive.
The Dirty Projectors
A real bunch of lookers aren't they? Brother Ali, The XX and Fall Out Boy round off a very ugly year for music.
Tea, English Breakfast, with a shot of milk. That's how I roll motherfuckers.
Erm…
Did we establish whether Fiennes gave his gun to the CIA agent at the end? That would be relevant wouldn't it? Or did he give it to Cho?
The Departed was good, but it was pretty much a scene by scene remake of the Hong Kong movie Infernal Affairs. That shouldn't keep it from the list necessarily, but the original should get a share of the honours as well.
My reason for preferring Batman Begins is that I love the whole mythology side of it, focussing on how he became Batman. I thought that was done brilliantly. Don't get me wrong, the Joker was great, but I thought his various ploys got so far fetched towards the end that I started to lose interest in the movie. Not…
Oh yeah, and Batman Begins is better than the Dark Knight.
Not that you care
but these should have been contenders (and, as discussed on a separate thread, comedy is really underrepresented)…
sorry, that should read latter, not letter.
Why does out and out comedy get so overlooked? I'd say it takes a lot more talent and ingenuity to craft a great comedy than it does to make a good portion of the movies on this list (Almost Famous? the 25th Hour? … come on! They're good, but not great).
