Elf every time… and remember, don't eat the yellow snow.

Not sure if you get it in the US, but the Black Books episode where they try and write a children's book, (about an elephant who loses his balloon), is easily one of the funniest things to ever grace the small screen.

No Entourage?
It's not brilliant, but the first couple of series certainly had their moments.

I still think the Sopranos edges the Wire.

You're all fired!
No love for The Apprentice? I would like to give a shout out to the UK's budget version, all hail Lord Sugar.

$60m investment?
Isn't this just some documentary/making of/cash in? Or does the $60m represent Sony's bankrolling his tour as well? Either way, glad to see the Sony corporation can get some return from MJ's still warm body.

Band of Brothers boxset
Chokes me up every time.

I've read the entire board and I can't believe no one has mentioned Whitesnake….

I think that applies to animal cartoon characters as well…

I seriously hope
his character won't be posing nude for Playgirl a la Marge Simpson

No James Brown?
Some versions of his songs were well over 10 mins … Papa don't take no mess, Make it funky, Mind Power, Get up.

Surely their future selves could prepare for the flashforward moment…
Maybe this has been posted before, but surely when the characters eventually arrive at the time of their flashforward, ie: in 6 months time, they would all know that their past selves are currently experiencing what they are experiencing. They

Films with a father son conflict that is eventually resolved
They get me every time. Either the son makes his dad proud or vica versa. Often it ends in death (usually the dad), or some sort of wistful sob inducing moment (the son succeeds!).

Movies with giant tidal waves and tsunamis. If I were a director I would have one in all of my movies. That's why I'm so excited about 2012 and was a big fan of Deep Impact

Funkytown Malone: Yes! I'm totally with you on the Spaghetti Western soundtrack songs. Whether you like her or not, Lilly Allen's 'It's not fair' is a pretty good recent example. The Super Furry Animals' Welsh album Mwng has a couple in there as well.

Larry's roast… probably my favourite 25 minutes of TV, ever.

Huh? I haven't seen the third one yet. I thought we saw the uncle get killed by the thief. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. Can you tell me what happens and save me the bother of watching the film?

I really didn't think X3 was all that bad. ***spoiler alert*** The scene where Xavier gets burnt to pieces was, in my humble opinion, by far and wide the best moment in the entire series. Brilliantly done. The undisputed awfulness of Superman Returns suggests that Bryan Singer wouldn't have done that much better. The

Brett Ratner?
Brett Shatner more like.

Father Ted is great, the IT Crowd is not so great. Black Books beats them both.
