Exactly what I was thinking. A 2 year old car should not have issues that require you disconnecting the battery to reset the electronics. Imagine that car in 6 years!

I remember 2 years ago, Obama came to visit the city I go to college in. I got held right at the end of my freeway offramp while the police closed down all the roads within a mile for the motorcade to enter the freeway. I was more than half an hour late to my lab class, but I got to use the line, “It was the…
It’s for the radar sensor. The lesser trim models actually have traditional emblems. Many other cars either have a plastic section of the grill/bumper or a similarly plasticky emblem.
I’m Chinese, so I pretty much make single types of rice (white usually), and usually nothing that requires soaking, which probably explains why I don’t need a Cuckoo. Interestingly, however, the Cuckoo was the only one we could get to speak Cantonese for my grandmother. The Zojirushis only offered Japanese and…

I guess I’m an odd case. I’m Asian and my family and friends are largely 5'7" or under. I have 2 friends that are 6' tall, but they’re definitely the exception. Legroom is pretty much a non-issue for us when buying a car. My dad had an old MB W126, and I couldn’t even reach the seat backs with my toes.
My mom had one of these when I was younger, and I LOVED it. I know I’ve probably got rose-colored glasses on, but it was quiet, spacious, and the 90s velour seats were SO soft. I slept a lot in that car. My only gripe was that there were no rear AC vents, but that was to be expected.
I’m seeing the toolkit at $40 - has the deal ended or am I missing a promo code of some sort?

I would agree on the liftgates except for 2 situations. 1) My mom is too short to reach even the hatch on her Prius. We had to tie a rope to the inside handle. She’s even further from reaching the liftgate on my CUV. 2) I’ve dropped a bunch of things trying to hold a large item that I wouldn’t want touching a dirty…
I have a boring ol’ X1, but once my dealer gave me an i3 for 4 days as a loaner car. I can definitely echo the fact that it was an AMAZING drive - so much more so than I expected. I thought it would feel like my neighbor’s Leaf, or my friend’s Volt, but it was so much better. I don’t even exactly know why, but getting…
I’m sure it’s a regional thing. I live in a suburb of LA, where people have far more money than sense, and I see TONS of GLE Coupes and X6's. Also, every teenage girl gets a new GLA because it’s taller than a CLA and they’re short.
I don't even think those are chrome either, they're more just polished alloy. The chrome plated wheels of yore were just that, a high-gloss coating. I do honestly still like chrome trim on some cars, but I haven't seen many good chrome wheels in a long while.
Trust me, Californians know the differences between models and how that correlates to your worth as a human being.
...what is a B600 V12 BiTurbo 4Matic? If it was joke, then *whoosh*. If it was not joke, I am intrigued, because the only car Google returned was a Pullman Limousine. Is your uncle a dictator?
Interestingly, Tesla is actually using Mercedes switchgear and controls. Just take a look at the gearshift or power window buttons in a Tesla and in a late-model Mercedes.
...you couldn't read in 3rd grade? I'm pretty sure you're supposed to learn to read in kindergarten
I definitely see them around in Southern California (I bop around among LA, Orange County, and San Diego), but they’re nowhere near as ubiquitous as the Tesla Model S, which I don't go a day without seeing. I think I spot an i8 maybe once or twice a month. It's definitely eye-catching, and indeed much better than in…
I don’t think the Civic was ever intended to be a car your parents would drive. I’ve only ever seen teenagers and sub-30's actually want to drive a Civic. Once you have kids, you get an Accord. That's how I've always understood it, anyways.
LA>SF isn’t a quick morning commute, but put into perspective with a 3,000mi American road trip it’s a pretty short drive.
Bought the Cuisinart from Costco for ~$90, but the grinding mechanism crapped out after a year and a half. It still makes coffee (we add ground coffee directly to the basket) and the carafe indeed keeps coffee hot for hours, but if the grinder’s super important to you try a different one.
