I actually think the singing is mostly fine, but the lack of any sweeping dynamic camera movements in that clip is really making the whole piece feel lethargic. It’s just a bunch of slow tracking and reaction shots. 

In that case I no longer understand the metaphor, as mailing something requires far more effort than picking up the phone. 

I believe you mean “phoning it in” unless “mailing it in” is an acceptable variation that I’ve never encountered.

Seriously. His recent stand up specials have been great, but I cringe so damn hard during those sections. And it’s not like the material is particularly hateful or transphobic, they’re just fucking terrible jokes.

Yikes. The RE movies are bottom of the barrel trash as far as I’m concerned, so I can’t really trust your opinion on this particular review. As a Pokémon fan, every trailer for Detective Pikachu has gotten more right than wrong in my opinion, so I’m looking forward to it.

Yup. This was my experience as well. Looked like absolute ass whenever anything was moving - perfect clarity when people were still.
