Learn the CTA train system and time things based off of train availability (the website is your friend, not so much for refilling your Ventra card all the time). Uber and Lyft are helpful getting around where CTA doesn’t get you. Don’t be afraid to hail a cab during surge pricing.

Nothing will revitalize that part of town, and I’m scared that Shreveport in general doesn’t know how to properly revitalize anything at all. As seen by so much that happens there, people just move further out and just leave the carcass like locusts. It’s been like that since I moved in 1999 and has only gotten worse.…
