How do kids who barely get into college at any school nationwide (with amazingly lenient test scores and GPAs) manage to keep up their GPAs high enough to stay game-eligible? All the while pursuing their sport for 30-40 hours per week? Well, the classes are easy, not much is expected of them, and/or someone else is

I was in college by this time, so had moved onto Cosmo years before this, but I recall that they were trying to groom her for modeling even earlier than this. Just little articles here and there. I think the head tilt is designed to cover up the weak chin and neck, and less than perfect lips. Thing is, she’s super

She had a naturally fuller face like her half-sister. She just had a lot of work done, starting at a fairly early age, and kept it up. The recent changes could be related to pregnancy, but clearly the nose, neck, cheeks and lips no longer look like they did then. When I was younger, I can remember that Seventeen was

Actually, she did, too. This is from 2005. Admittedly, she’s in the middle of speaking, but her neck was fuller then.

I work from home and I’m constantly on phone meetings. I interrupt because I’d waste a lot of time otherwise. Women shouldn’t be interrupted, but in a lot of instances, we should realize what’s normal conversation and what’s bias.

THIS. I’ve been to the voodoo doughnut and gotten a half dozen of varying flavors. The only one I enjoyed was the actual Voodoo Man - the rest were actively NOT good. Not better than a fresh Krispy Kreme, and certainly nowhere near as good as a Duck Donut.

Mom can make sure that her daughter has chores, tasks, and gets praised for doing those things, and not how she looks. We get self worth through achievement and being comfortable in who we are. If she goes to a princess party, or does those chores and homework in a tutu and tiara, more power to her.

EXACTLY. My mom wouldn’t wear a dress at all anymore, and she’s had short hair since the 50s. I have long hair, high heels, and I wear pants in a work setting only if it snows. I’ve got a mouth like a trucker, a great career, and if sometimes my fingernails are green, so be it. I think owning who you are (within

My mom gave me a boy haircut in elementary school (for her ease of maintenance to get me ready for school and her ready for work) and dressed me in neutrals and pants. Waitresses and others always thought I was a boy; that made me so angry. I grew my hair out as soon as I could. Later, I went to a school with

There’s a decent chance that you do. I don’t in most settings, because it’s so rare for me to be in a meeting with another woman that I default into the role of supporter/protector (like I’ll let them speak and give off the vibe that it’s not cool to interrupt them). HOWEVER, if I were in a setting where women were

I totally get this, and appreciate the response. I get a little uncomfortable when we set some things up as absolutely off-limits to deconstruct. Go, Barry! I’m glad you’re at peace with this now. While I didn’t think that Rich was necessarily coming from a bad place with the post, I will not, however, pretend to know

Higher priced shoes do last longer, but I’m also a recovering shoe-buying addict. You can wear the caps off of heels, and you do have to be careful in any shoe, but especially those with softer leathers, about scuffing them up against curbs and doors. With heels, you have to worry that the angle of the heel is good

Counterpoint - we don’t talk about how hard it is for the newlywed to announce her pregnancy. Not that it matters at all, because coming out is important, but it isn’t invalid to have a discussion about the subjective difficulty of someone (including Manilow) coming out, and the objective difficulty. All comings out

1000%. Don’t bring money in the discussion before you’ve already convinced them that you are charming and indispensable. If it does come up, be forthright and as non-committal as you can be without being frustrating.

We have friends (~60) who moved to Austin a couple years back, go to a lot of shows, and walked out of Dylan.

HEEEEEEEELS!

Actually it isn’t, but the Final Four were not good games. Teams off their rhythms, shooting in a horrible football stadium, hard rims, and sketchy, inconsistent reffing. The first two weekends of this year’s tournament, however, were much, much better games.

While freely admitting that this type of movie is not my preferred genre at all, every trailer and promo I saw for this movie (i) looked actively bad, and (ii) made it look like I needed to have a tremendous understanding of this character to be able to access it at all.

I’m worried that Stonyfield isn’t any good yet because HamNo isn’t running it... but I am charmed by their logo cow.
