Not just the fact that they do that, that is hilarious (which it is) but Shane Black shows what a great director of comedy he is in the way he stages and frames the sequence. There are numerous 'language of cinema' laughs in that sequence. Its not just the writing.

I just loved that they didn't try to hide his dong. Like, at all.
