Those idiots never realized how lucky they were - ask anyone in the Adirondacks and the Catskills in central NY how shitty Irene was.

After NYC got a lucky break with Hurricane Irene, a bunch of people who evacuated waterfront neighborhoods whined that the government had lied to them, apparently not understanding that we were warned of the worst case, and a bunch of randomness was involved. A year later, they all stayed put for Hurricane Sandy,…

This whole anti PC bullshit on the right is just amazingly bad. They have taken the idea of “political correctness” and applied it to things that used to be just “basic human decency”.
This whole anti PC bullshit on the right is just amazingly bad. They have taken the idea of “political correctness” and applied it to things that used to be just “basic human decency”. Sure, some things are just ridiculous, almost all of those things are one offs or made up or exaggerated in chain emails/Facebook…
“Here, Bill, have a potato and some whiskey and calm down. Geez, next you’ll want to fight and have 15 kids...”

Any time someone says “It’s not about the money.” You can rest assured, it’s about one thing. The money.
No wonder today’s baseball players are so fat! These poor bastards are stuck eating off the dollar menu.
They employ students to swipe other students in, sure. They don’t employ students to don hairnets and braise 200 chicken thighs.
Throw in a Michael Caine cameo for the win!!!!! :-)
Anyone else catch the half-empty stands at Camden for those four critical late-season games against a division rival? Such great fans, man. Such a great baseball town.
I think she’s cheatabetic.
She barely won grand slams when she was doping. What makes you think she’s gonna win now?!
Yeah, but if she’s been taking it continuously since 2006, which I assume she has been since it was found in her system 10 years later, then she’s either had those same symptoms for a really long time or she wasn’t taking it for that reason to begin with.
The snark comes from the fact that she knew she was doping even if the substance hadn’t yet been banned. The drug’s manufacturer recommends that their medication be taken for, at most, 3 weeks, she’d been taking it for 520 weeks.
I morbidly wonder if the samething would have happened if this was one of the Williams sisters.
I highly doubt there would be such leniency.
That’s what I’m most pissed about. She’ll be the second highest earning women’s tennis player ever in spite her horrible legacy.
The special treatment she’s getting is ridiculous, but honestly, even if she comes back, she’ll never win another grand slam. She was out of her depth and floundering with the drugs, I can’t imagine her making any real comeback.
