Weird to think about. I feel like I’m doing pretty well in life but buying a house right now and having a car note for an average priced car with an APR of 8% isn’t really doable. I make more than the average household and yet, as someone without kids, I’m not able to afford what my parents could. How do people swing

Novel idea:
Instead of going out and blowing $25k before you’re established in a job and have a known steady income, just keep what you have for a year or so so you get a better grasp on life and what you’ll actually need.

Since this question is not confined to the US market, I expect the upcoming Renault 5 Electric to be a delightfully quirky thing.

Chevy says this isn’t the end of the road for the vehicle as we know it; we just have no idea what’s coming”

some people take their discard pile seriously.

And many of those drivers now think that Putin is a good guy thanks to right-wing media.

Take your pick from above. It might not be the traditional take on “hot rod”... or maybe it is? Take a car that isn’t fast, and make it go fast. No one would suspect that these cars are fast. At their base they are economy cars that are embarrassingly slow, then the factory tuned them to

Fuck Texas. Fuck cops. Fuck that Jeep guy. Charges should be more serious than a misdemeanor. He could have killed the cyclist. No, you don’t fucking joke around like that.

I don’t know what the legalese or language in Texas is for attempted murder, but.......this sure looks closer to that than some minor misdemeanor. Not only did this Jeep driver clearly cross the center of the road against traffic to swerve all the way over to try and hit the cyclist, it appears that he almost hit an

In every rental car I have, bloody auto start/stop. More aggravating for cars that reset your selection after it’s shut off.

I cancelled it a while ago but will probably pick it up for a month once the full season is out.

This is so incredibly stupid... and I’m not a fan of these vehicles at all. At the least if you’re going to confiscate these things, make it so you can resell them out of state and use the money towards something useful, like NYC education or building green spaces in NYC. Destroying perfectly good materials is just a

They’re saying which cars will use it in late 2023? so it probably won’t be implemented until 2024 or later... It seems like this is still in the very early stages of development, I wonder how similar it will look/function to what they shared today.

Mine is completely stock and I swear it runs at least a 5.5 second 0-60 or faster. Certainly not a slouch!

There’s one around town by me and it’s no slouch! I always think it’s a fun car to see.

Sadly, not enough for my daily runs to the grocery store. EVs just not good enough.
