Listen, I get that the 2.0 might have it where it counts... but this is a Supra (in namesake anyway), and no one wants to be embarrassed off the line in their 45k toyota supra by, well, just about anything on the road that’s putting out similar numbers with a similar engine. The supra would probably still win... but

Does this mean that Bugatti will be electric in the future?

How about the newest generation CTS? Its big enough for a dog, comfortable and quiet, is still “sporty” and the depreciation has hit those things so hard you can get a lot of car for the price.

Neat. When it’s on sale and readily available I’ll believe it. We’ve heard a lot of electric cars that are “just about to come out” over the years... and yet there are so few options on the road...

Haha the Veloster N is a great car, I’m happy Hyundai made it and I’d love to drive one. But I think history will prove you wrong on the “Aztec of today” thought about the Type R. The Aztec wasn’t good by any measurable amount. The Type R might have polarizing looks but it’s an absolute track weapon. I think people

I tend to agree, I actually think the RS is a pretty good looking car. It is tame looking compared to the Type R though which is crazy.

Subaru has a similar one
Jeep did, but I don’t think they do it anymore
Chevy has a similar color (New vette)
Lamborghini (but you can probably get a lambo in just about any color you want)

I can’t think of any more, but that’s quite a list already

I’ve noticed that a lot of car companies are coming out with “this” color lately. Since you’re a journalist I’m going to assume you’ve seen most of the similar blues to this. Is this one the prettiest iteration?

I’m 32 and I still get giddy every time I see a Type R on the road. Sure it’s looks are a bit boy racer but I drive a Nitrous Blue Focus RS so who am I to judge? I would have considered one but I live in Michigan and I wanted AWD and heated seats for the half-year winter we have.

I don’t understand how Dodge isn’t more profitable. They do minor updates to 10 year old cars with no real R&D costs on them to speak of, and people keep buying the cars because they have that cool factor. They should be making more money.

is the shift lever folded down into the center console in the 2nd to last photo? How weird!

What about a Fiesta ST? I actually think this is the perfect answer:

Is it noticeably different from the last one?

That corvette screams 90s so hard its amazing.

There are a few issues with what you’re saying. The first is that the number one killer in the US right now isn’t heart disease, it isn’t people dying in poverty, it is the coronavirus... and thats WITH the shelter in place. So many more people would die without it.

I guess when there’s hard data that the lives lost are starting to outweigh the lives lost from the virus. We’re not there.

comparing this to the flu at this point is just outright foolishness. Not even Trump would say that they’re the same. Hospitals are running out of room to put the dead bodies from this virus. The flu, Sars, MERS and H1N1 are nowhere near this level, to argue that they are shows a lack of understanding for the reality

I don’t see trying to save lives by staying home as being a zealot, I see it as being caring. I live in the county where a lot of those people today came from, and so far we’ve been pretty good at keeping the numbers down. If the number of cases spike in 5-10 days (and I really, really hope it doesn’t) you better

I would always, ALWAYS rather try and save lives by doing something than do nothing knowing people will die. The diminishing returns COULD happen, yes. But people are already dying of the virus and shelter in place is DEFINITELY saving lives, so I pick that.
