As a Nuggets fan, the thought of paying 25mm per year for an aging star seems anathema both to our ownership and our “plan” (whatever it may be) of building up the youth. However, we need two things desperately: 1) someone to teach the kiddoes how to make a damn three, and 2) oh, um, about 20-25mm to hit the salary

I’ve heard similar stories all over Denver about K-Mart. He was the first player I liked that made me understand the “hate him when he’s the opponent, love him when he’s yours” sentiment.

Wouldn’t that be a variation of a Santorum?

I attended LSU at the same time as Shaq (and others) and would see him walk past my dorm room on occasion. Seeing a man that large was genuinely shocking. I mean, he had Vernell Singleton with him once and Vernell looked like a normal sized person even though he was i think 6'8".

A few years ago I see Iggy in the Denver Cherry Creek Apple Store and i’m blown away by just how well he filled out the very expensive cashmere sweater he was wearing. But I digress...

(looks up Rad: The Movie...)

you and me both, homes. I had to pause too long to figure it out so maybe that means we are both 46?

Oh man, yes. I worked for years and years with O&G companies and the break room always, always had Fox Business on. Just an awful network for, you know, real information. And as you say, regardless of your politics.

Count your blessings that it's just ESPN. I constantly run into facilities and airports blaring Fox News.

Thanks for the recommendation, i’ve needed something new to read that is fiction. I’ve been buried in non-fiction for too long.

The first time I saw this movie, my brain processed it as, “To crush your enemies, see their fleas before you, and peel the lamination from der women.”

Completely unrelated, but please tell me your name is based on The Afghan Whigs.

Are they just banking on the fact that free agents will now flock to LA from such delightful places as Jacksonville and Cincinnati and that they can stock the team in the coming years that way?

In fairness, the size of the windfarms in Texas are breathtaking. Ironically, because they produce so much juice, it has rejuvenated several fossil burners (where I've worked) to provide base load power.

As an SEC school alumnus (actually, from two, both of whom have won national championships in the past decade), I have always understood that the teams got kid glove treatment from the local Po Po, but had never seen a specific person assigned so publicly.

85 students and there is a specific liaison from the police department?

Aside from the messed up path the clutch cable took to the transmission, which required my best friend and I to do mechanics we were ill equipped to do in high school, this was the best freaking car evar.

I still can’t believe we (Rapids) let this kid go.

We went the inaugural year and I must say that it was amazing. The organization of getting folks on the buses for the ride over was as if they’d done the race for years. The town was rocking, the weather was perfect, and Lewis got to wear a cowboy hat on the podium. You will love it.

Embarrassing story: my father never taught me the first thing about auto maintenance. My first car was a crap brown Mazda 626 manual that I drove with great pleasure for 50,000 miles without an oil change and the only time the levels might have been checked were on occasional full service stops.
