Another star had fallen from the sky. His legacy will live on.
I attended their Zelda talk, I believe they released it on YouTube for free. It was fantastic, showing the “open air” design, how the game started in demo, how it evolved, and showing tiny technical details that made their games special.
Given the current 2022 lineup, please do delay Zelda. There are already a couple of games that will take up 200+ hours of my time.
Fantastic game. It’s not difficult, but there are a lot of secrets and puzzles that brought me a smile. It’s such a relaxing game. Even in challenge stages you don’t need to break the record to get the award, you just need to finish the stage.
Nintendo always give great GDC talk. Very few developers have the time, skills, and resources to be able to pay attention to tiny details like Nintendo.
On a completely unrelated news, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is $39.99 until end of 3/13, it contains 48 tracks and additional 48 more tracks via a $24.99 DLC.
Glad to hear. I have so many games on my backlog, after playing through two demos and still can’t get into the game was a barrier of entry for me.
It’s not, but in the first demo there are like 12 unit, when one dies the other ones get surrounded and my army falls like domino. So I got annoyed that an honest mistake of not knowing how to fight the archers on top of the bridge and not knowing there are enemy reinforcement led to my failure.
Wait, software piracy was illegal in Russia? Since when?
I played both demos, have a lot of concerns. First demo threw me into the deep end, without the game explain each of the class and combat, I lost some units and I am the type who reloads when that happen. Taking way too much time for the combat.
It’s really sad that these kind of bundles are now so regular. I didn’t know about itch.io until recently, but now I have the following bundles:
That’s one thing I really liked about Xeno series, the gameplay is incredibly complex, but you don’t need to know most of that to complete the game.
In short, Xenoblade’s combat is like a fighting game. You use auto attacks to charge up skills, then line up the skills to perform combo. You can Break someone’s guard -> Topple them to the ground -> Launch them into the air -> Smash them into the ground. If you can get 3 of the 4 parts of the combo going, it’s…
Yup, vote with dollar. I am glad that there is enough support from the Operation Rainfall folks that we are now seeing a revival of JRPG. Far fewer title had been made but much higher in quality.
Here in NC, a lot of my coworkers got vaccines early since we work with nurses so we got front-line exemptions to get vaccines starting Feb 2021, but they are part of that “don’t get vaccine, it infringes on your freedom” and “this vaccine is not tested and may cause harm” train.
The battle can be slow in the beginning, but once you got more blades and aggro enemies, you can spend 15 minutes wiping out a dozen enemies at once.
Dude, I followed Operation Rainfall, so I bought a Japanese copy of Xenoblade to support the game. Then once it’s localized, I grabbed a copy from GameStop. When 3DS version was released, I bought it again.
I don’t think it was stated, but early on Nintendo did say that a bunch of features were cut from Breath of the Wild, which they are adding them back in for the sequel. Game seemly runs on the same engine, with a lot of added contents, so it’s not too far to call it an expansion.
Given it’s based on Breath of the Wild, much like Galaxy 2 came out 3 years after Galaxy, they have had 5 years to plan and design this game. Although I wouldn’t mind a bit of delay for this title as there are already too many games this year, but I wouldn’t say it’s rushed or not a chance for 2022.
