I question Kotaku writers’ qualification. Analogue sticks are prone for wear damage over there years, the longer you hold your sticks one direction the more likely that part of spring will become loose. This had been a normal part of gaming hardware since Pong Machines.

I did that for my PS2 and Game Cube controllers, I even repaired my Wii U Gamepad with a replacement part.

Try some Hori Grip, mine is coming on Sept.

How is this a real problem on Switch? Joystick becoming loose isn’t a new problem, I have had so many GameCube and PS2 controllers replaced because of that. I have been able to buy a new part (usually <$5) my controller for more a decade. This is just regular wear damage with joysticks.

Luckily this is a story-centric game, so graphics can afford to take a dip and still have the similar experience. 

I was looking forward to seeing how the multiplayer would be, but I guess it’s not in this build. I hope it would be there in the retail build. Would suck to play a Mana game without multiplayer capability.  

There really isn’t much detail in this trailer, so hard to tell either way.  I hope seeing the two of them side by side would imply 2P co-op.
