I was lucky enough to see her in the revival of Porgy and Bess. Amazing. As was the rest of the cast. And it was my first broadway show! I'm sure this will be outstanding.

Big fan of David Wild's "The Showrunners : A Season Inside The Billion-Dollar, Death-Defying, Madcap World Of Television's Real Stars," if only for the chapters on Newsradio dealing with first with Phil Simms's divided attention as he worked on a pilot for Joe Rogan and then the devastating aftermath of Phil Hartman's

I stopped watching Grey's Anatomy when they killed off the hot bomb squad guy played by Kyle Chandler. Not because I was super connected to the character (though, come on, KC is hot) but because it was pretty obvious the show was built on sensationalism and it wasn't for me. I think that was KC's first higher

I hate the learnvest lady so much. I'm not going to take financial advice from someone that a) sounds like a sorority girl and b) has a last name like Van Toble. I'm pretty sure a Von Toble hasn't really had to deal with real financial disaster, especially as this particular lady became a trader at Morgan Stanley

My two and a half year old niece's favorite show is Bob's Burgers. Not really age appropriate, but there are bright colors and songs and I think it's much less painful to watch over and over again, like kids are wont to do.

While I agree Carson's comedy wasn't quite cutting edge, his skill as a host and interviewer was definitely more akin to Stewart than Leno.

I recently started putting nutella in mine. Not healthy, not pretty, but really tasty. Nutella, banana and a scoop of chia seeds.

Apparently he did consider making this an Oregon themed album.

I love, love Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. His version is fantastic, but there's something about some of those old hymns. I grew up in a religious household, though I'm agnostic now, and modern evangelist worship services feel so horribly fake and insincere compared to those old hymns.

Going by my iTunes play count, Casimir Pulaski Day is not only my favorite Sufjan song, but my favorite song period. I think some of the songs on this album may give it a run for its money.

My favorite sitcom ever. Wish it was still streaming on Netflix. For a while, I would tape all the episodes off A&E, during its glorious early syndication.

Except there are actual Native Americans with blond hair and blue eyes! Even fairly well known actors, though they re not marketed as such.

There are other indians writing about this, do a search on indiancountrytoday, appropriations.net, urban indians, etc. all with (surprise, surprise) varying opinions about the success of the storyline, so you're not the only NDN with an opinion (not even the only one on this site!).
