With all little kids (I have a 5 and a 3 year old), you're going to end up doing most of the playing anyway so I don't worry so much about mechanics as I do content.
All adventure games should be played with multiple people, they just lend themselves to brainstorming and creative problem solving. We play them as a family unit and even when the kids are wrong their ideas are really great.
If you ever listen to podcasts or watch interviews with the players or Hard Knocks, they seem to take things like the pecking order / bloopers / general ineffable WTF-ness of the vagaries of sport with way more grains of salt than, say, your typical ESPN talking head.

The finest Western ever made is either The Searchers or The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, which are Platonic ideals.
