Some tailgates also have temperature lockouts, for too cold and too hot. Gas struts loose pressure and the gate could collapse on you if too cold. Too hot is worse, struts build pressure and gate could open explosively. Lets just beat up on GM though for non-issues at every chance and wonder why they cant sell cars.…
