Maybe it’s because I come from a culinary background where the chef will shit on you (not literally... I think) if you don’t clean as you go, but whenever I cook, the only thing left to wash at the end of the meal is what’s on the table. Dinner isn’t served until the kitchen is clean.

On the other hand, I would happily do every single meal-related chore if it exempt me from every other household task.

It can work if the non-cook just is in charge of some other sort of household task, like laundry or bathrooms.

This is actually fair. When cooking I use the fewest possible number of pots and utensils, whereas my wife uses 3x as many things.

If you’re any age and don’t use emoji in your (casual) communication, then I don’t trust you.
