The important modifier and explanation of behavior in “White Evangelicalism” isn’t “Evangelicalism.”

He convinced a bunch of white people that you could solve economic inequality without addressing racial and gender based inequality first, and that if he just addressed a few core issues (health care and Wall Street) that the rest of the issues with people of color and women would sort themselves out.

All Bernie did was convince a bunch of white people that their needs mattered more than the rest of the country.
