Check out Vancouver BC if you ever get a chance. Minimal salt use means cars last 20 years without any hassle (and they get scrapped due to age, not rust). Tons of supercars in summer - lots of wealth here. Classics are around, but aren't the go-to at all. Trucks aren't popular unless you're in the 'burbs. Kinda seen

It's no different than those who complain about "being stuck in traffic". If you're in the traffic, you are the traffic.

Inches, because ‘murica. Retire the damned standard units already, sheesh...

It’s a remarkably desperate store, filled largely with nothing but manufactured landfill and groceries. I honestly don’t understand why so many people shop there. The groceries really aren’t any cheaper or better than a real grocery store, and everything else is mostly poor quality, disposable junk for “more money

Oh jeez. I’ve bought a few converted vans for my workplace. I’m going to be really frank here: if I’m going to spend the money on a conversion, it’s going to be in a vehicle which will be a hell of a lot more long-lived and better engineered than a damn Traverse.

More than that, if you’ve got external amplifiers, steering wheel controls and so on. And an aftermarket radio almost always lowers the resale value of the car -- they almost always suck, are almost never as reliable as the factory unit, and are almost without exception hack-y looking.

It’s consistency, more than anything. Sure, 80% of it is scrap iron, but the 10% that is scrap aluminum and the 10% of it that is scrap copper, brass, lead, car batteries etc makes it worthwhile. If you can manage two truck-loads a day and have a set route, you can do alright.

I think I would have left the Jeep in the lot as part of the scrap.

Easy enough to do, to be honest — just leave the car on.

Bolt has been a really popular car in BC for a while now — sold out with a 1year wait list, until the Model 3 stole its thunder.

They’ve had a long, long runway. If they’re just getting their act together now, they’re screwed?

Importanrly: H2 prices are going down as scale is realized. Gasoline prices aren't.

The numbered company they use to lease the cars under will become bankrupt. The bank will repossess the cars and the numbered company will close.

Not much more to it, to be honest. There’s little to no personal risk in this other than what it took to begin the numbered company.

I just want a ‘13-15 fortwo cabrio. Matte grey, or red/silver/red roof. The problem is more the lack of space (ironic, isn’t it?) for such a thing. I really really like them.

You have described a Honda Accord.

Bad robot. Bad!

Spotted in Kelowna BC. An electric scooter, with a Honda generator strapped to it!

Wonder what it's fuel "economy" (hah!) was during these laps...

Put a small diesel/gas engine onboard the trailer. It will run at one exact engine speed and can be made efficient. Have it run as soon as the battery falls to some threshold. Lighter, cheaper, dependable and ready even after being stored for long periods between uses.

Hah, the reason rental fleets buy FCA cars is because of the "damn near 50%-off" pricing that they get. They're not paying anywhere near 40k for one.
