You wouldn’t do that. You’d buy the car with no included battery whatsoever, and instead would pay for the service of being able to use a battery and be able to exchange it.

He just needed to hold the engine start/stop button for about three seconds...

Definitely gets retrieved. Even crashed aircraft are worth a LOT as salvage.

Depends where you are. Search&Rescue here (BC) doesn’t charge anything no matter what - and is operated entirely by public funding and donations.

They have the best turning circle in the segment, and are the best/easiest to drive in the winter.

Keep in mind, the Nismo Juke kept AWD with the 6spd and added more power!

I test drove a Honda S2000 in ~2006, with no intention of buying it. Hah. Guess what I bought in 2007...

I have NEXUS - it’s excellent! Seamless, easy travel to and from the USA/Canada. We have a cabin/cottage on the other side of the line, and regularly visit it on any weekend with no concern about border lineups.

Haier owns GE’s appliance brand. So if you’re buying a “GE”, it’s actually a Haier.

Nothing’s changed. Hop into a new CR-V, and then hop into a new Blazer. Pay attention to the leather used for the seats, the plastics used for the dash, how every button and switch feels, looks, and reacts. Pay attention to the overall design. GM is so far behind that it’s almost comical. They’re cheaper because

I find the Fiat 500 interesting, because they must be comparing against full-blown MSRP. Anybody who bought a 500 post-2014 or so paid many thousands less than MSRP. Brand new 500 Sport with automatics were for sale for ~$17,000 CAD. So to see $11,500 for a 3 year old one is actually quite in-line with normalcy.

Trucks: No kidding! I borrowed a regular cab, short box, 4 cyl 2008 Ranger from work recently, and was almost screaming “why don’t they make these anymore!” while easily parking it in a downtown underground parkade. Such a convenient little truck!

Fleet buyer here, who used to buy a lot of Nissans - largely due to their low price. That was followed by a nearly 100% failure rate of their CVTs in the Versa Note and Sentra. In-warranty, we had plenty of stranded drivers and had to pay people to go retrieve stranded cars from out-of-town. Out of warranty, Nissan

Sorry, but these are just junk. They’re thirstier than they should be, far less reliable than they should be, and have terrible resale value. We used to have lots of them in the fleet at work, and they were a four-wheeled joke, compared to our RAV4s and CR-Vs.

Me too. I only use Uber/Lyft when I’m on vacation - and have had lots of really great local tips on places to visit / things to do (or not bother with) from drivers.

Neat, and good to know.
Funny with the Expedia/Hotels.com (etc) bit — I’ve tried booking with the hotels themselves a few times now, and have been declined the Expedia rate every time. Usually it goes something like:
“Hey, good morning! I’d love to book a room with you directly, but I see that this room is $149 for

I’m _thoroughly_ convinced that the FR-S is solely a Subaru design, simply funded partially by Toyota. Looking around mine, I have not found a single component other than the little “beep!” speaker that beeps when you press the door lock/unlock button, the key and the ignition cylinder, or the radio which actually has

Because in a few years, his 2000 Accord will die, and he will buy an old, beat up EV for $2000. You can already get a Fiat 500e with nothing wrong with it for $6500.

Because the guy who is driving a $2000 Accord will eventually be able to be driving a $2000 Tesla. You can already get a used Fiat 500e for $6500 with nothing wrong with it.

Aww, that’s really too bad. I honestly really liked the Smart Fortwo. Quirky as hell, but in a wacky, quirky way. I had a 2nd gen for about a year as a company car, and honestly really got to love the little thing. It was just so convenient and had gobs of personality to it.
