Nah, though, that this producer is suing for breach of contract implies that he does own a piece of this property. I’m not an entertainment lawyer, and haven’t seen the contract, but I assume it must have language regarding him being paid.

So, I’m an actor or whatever, and the royalty system isn’t about work, it’s about ownership which is why Michael Jackson made so much money by owning so many of the licenses to The Beatles’ music.
