I think next week will kill off at least 2 of our Avengers on the mission from hell. I don’t think I`m convinced the Starks are going to take a huge hit though.

But if he did that wouldn’t they still need to wait for the Night King to come lift his arms up and resurrect him? In which case its all the same, since NK is there...
Absolutely agree on that.
Of course you SHOULD feel guilt. But you shouldn’t be SENTENCED to it.
I understand your sentiment but can we stop even using language that appears to encourage castration and the like as legitimate sentencing methods? We are having a hard enough to reforming our fucked criminal justice system as it is.
You can’t blame recidivism rates entirely on a person’s character. That is disingenuous at best. There are multiple factors that contribute to that, including one’s ability to reenter society and not feel like they are living in the shadows.
Under that logic, why don’t we just start dolling out the following sentence to all “violent crimes” : X years, plus a lifetime of crippling guilt that leads to a life ruined.
Agreed, and thats a good analogy. I`ll add that having people serve a forever-sentence by taking away their freedoms, civil liberties, et al once they’ve been released makes them more likely to re-offend because they see themselves at outsiders and have no opportunity to take part in society.
INDEED. The other men (who were actually carrying the weapons) have been out of prison for years. The judge gave him this ridiculous sentence as payback for 1994, plain and simple. Which was not the judge’s job. It was essentially double jeopardy.
NO! Not yet, I finallllllly just mastered those damn beachy curls
LOL. Wait, when did Westeros become even a slight resemblance of how a civilized society should be run?
Jesus, how did Corden and Fallon get nominated and not Seth Meyers?? His Closer Look bits have been SUPERB.
Good point. Another one that comes to mind is Tragic Kingdom right after Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal broke up...
I can’t tell you how much of a (relative) relief it is that my brother is doing 6 years in a great plains state instead of in CA or NY. The only positive thing about this hell.
The part that blows my mind about this movie is that the “fuck it, I`m too old and give up, I`m going to marry my friend” age is TWENTY EIGHT. And I remember thinking that was OLD when this movie came out.
You mean the defense was basing their argument on legal foundation in order to defend their client? The horror!
You’re making an accessory argument. To be an accessory to a crime, there has to be an underlying crime. Suicide is not a crime.
This wasn’t a jury trial. The judge determined.
That rests on the notion that suicide = homicide, which it is not. The victim and the “murderer” in your scenario are the same person, which adds in an element of choice that is not present in the murder-victim-accessory scenario. Those are false equivalencies.
You’re basing this on what, an actual medical evaluation? Your own thorough expertise on the topic? Or just trying to justify that you prefer vengeance to rehabilitation?
