Guys. Read the story. Under MA law, none of the evidence used in the criminal trial can be used in the civil trial, since his death before the end of the appeals process deems him not guilty. His full estate will likely go to his daughter. The civil cases won’t go anywhere without the criminal trial evidence.

Keep saying this. I have met many many more criminal defense attorneys who are principled in performing their job (providing defense to criminal defendants per the Constitution) than I have met prosecutors who are principled in doing theirs (seeking justice instead of trying to “win” a case).
