The LS is a better swap due to cost and not being as complex. Sure - The LT1 is more efficient and makes a little more power then a LS3, but it’s not really worth it any way you look at it. You can buy a LS3 in crate form that makes just over 500HP out of the box with a cam profile that is still quite easy to drive.

No. Optispark and reverse water pump are the devil.

Have no fear, still the same compact pushrod-based package and they’re still installing them in everything. The cheap horsepower party will indeed continue.

So close on the Tundra TRD Pro, but the actual answer is Toyota FJ Cruiser.

I put a bit over 1000 miles on per year. I don’t tend to drive much to start since I don’t have a commute, plus I usually have a toddler in tow. Sometimes she rides in my Vette, but I have to keep the roof on lest someone steal her nice Recaro car seat and there’s the whole getting dirty looks from soccer moms for

No thanks, in that price range. I’d rather have the CTS-V

“So Toyoda-san, do you have to pull the engine on an IS F to do timing chain work because someone decided that the best idea was to put the chain case next to the firewall?”

You know this car will put down an amazing time at the ‘Ring. You know it will be right up there will cars costing 3-4x as much. Yet, you probably will hardly ever hear about it here on Jalopnik. And everytime you DO hear about it on here, there will be countless comments about old men, Hawaiian shirts, jorts, socks &

Tribalism.

In the UK you can overtake a stopped bus provided that it is safe to do so and the bus isn’t indicating to pull out.

For me at least, my Vette is “more than a car” because she is my mechanical soul mate. She was a full blown case of “if you love something, set it free” and she came back when I did that. Sometimes the universe just wants you to have one very specific car. For most Corvette owners, this definitely is not the case. I

Temperature rise during compression depends on the efficiency curves of the blower. It could be that the old blower was operating outside of its peak efficiency at max boost. If this blower puts max boost in a more efficient area, it will experience a lower temperature rise for the same flow.

Cue the Jalopnik-hipster hate. What a surprise.

Hi, huge fan of KinjaDeals here. Bought many a product using your affiliate links and quite happy. But I have a bone to pick that I have been holding off on for two days now.

The answer is, its not a thing. Most people that claim to have laid it down on purpose actually did it by accident (I’ve done that). If someone actually laid the bike down on purpose somehow, that’s never a smart move. You’re never gonna have more control with the bike on its side than you would with it upright on its

Wow, so not only did you leave Texas, you also sold your E30? I’m so sorry to hear that.

“Ah wuz suicidal and despondent until I bought mah truuuuk. Now I go to bed excited to see wut tomorrow brings!”

I agree “Professional Grade” is pretty lame, espcially when applied to GMC’s assortment of cheesy crossovers, but “A Truck You Can Live With” is equally bad, sort of like saying “A Truck That Isn’t Completely Miserable.”

So... just like everyone else here?

Rectangular headlamps were not legalized until 1975 and only the dual low and high beam ones were allowed at first. GM had the first cars to use the newly legalized lamps. They appeared first on the Chevy Monza/Buick Skyhawk/Olds Starfire and a few of their premium full-sized luxury cars including Cadillac.
