I can only guess, but it’s that when they get things right, concrete bridges last even longer with less maintenance than the alternative. Unfortunately, as we saw, they didn’t get it all right.

Well, a lot of different supercars, actually. Especially in the 80s/early 90s, it was pretty bad.
