He’s being quite objective, and if we’re talking long-term reliability, BMW is crap.

As the owner of an SLK32, it is.

Isn’t that the thing, though? They have to prove actual malice, not just negligence as Stewart was under no obligation to watch out for pedestrians on an active racetrack - on the contrary, a “reasonable person” expects said track to be pedestrian free except under yellow/red/black flag conditions.

Did I mention blue is my favorite color?

Oh, I’m right there with you. For most folks, that matters.

Eh, if I really want to out-do FCA with this Tahoe, doubt I’d care about the warranty. As far as 50-state legal? I have seen a number of Cali Vette and Camaro drivers running YSi units. Dunno how, but where there’s a will, apparently.

Agree, but the NA motor can be boosted with aftermarket blowers to HP levels quite a lot higher than the LT4. Would not surprise me to see a Lingenfelter variant of this Tahoe.

Trackhawk?

The kids can get off my lawn too - I agree. Certain things should be turn-off-able. Guess what happens if that choice causes bad things? You get smacked with the personal responsibility hammer. IOW, it’s yer own dang fault.

Honest answer?

OMG! THANK YOU!!!

Only reason IMO is off-the-line torque. Positive displacement superchargers can provide more low RPM grunt. My SLK32 has a Eaton supercharger on it, the bottom-end power is nice.

They’re not? The M4 GTS comes with a cage from the factory, and I’ve seen a large number of road-going cars with full rollcages. (doesn’t make it legal, though)

Well, the Coyote 5.0 takes to boost *very* well, so not being an auto engineer it seems like they could work with that platform for now, no?

Oh, I agree, but the GT500 was Ford’s HP monster - the answer to the ZL1 Camaro and the Hellcat. I couldn’t see Ford releasing another GT500 with under 500 HP, and I don’t see how they’re going to go over that with just a 3.5L V6. Tuners can, but tuners don’t have to concern themselves with warranty issues.

Yeah, what you’re saying makes much sense.

I still don’t get why Ford can’t come out with an EcoBoost V8. Audi, Merc, BMW all have TT V8s, Chevy has a blown V8, but the best we get is a 3.5L TT V6.

Actually, it was the US:

I dunno, I live on a military base and I often see younger folks buying v6 Challengers. Maybe a bit of halo effect from the Hellcat and now Demon?

Because for arrogant Jalops, drag racing isn’t real racing.
