That’s fair b/c that would be creepy.

Again, I do both and no dice. I don’t necessarily smile but I try to look as neutral as possible. Maybe that’s it.
I have a staring problem. I’ve always had a staring problem. Sometimes, I’m staring at something (or someone), intently observing. Sometimes, I’m just staring in a general direction and someone will appear in my field of sight. But it’s all very obvious. I’ve learned to not be ashamed by it, since it’s just something…
I must be ugly as hell b/c this literally never happens to me. Or I’m not as obvious as I think I’m being. Either/or but probably both.
I’mma just read your awesome short stories and forget you have Twitter. That’s what I’mma do and you can’t fucking stop me.
I’m implying that Blur is a middle of the road alternative rock group. They are good. They just aren’t great. Better than Oasis, not as good as Radiohead. The Gorillaz, however, are fantastic.
I agree that Adele’s music is middle of the road, but Damon Albarn is acting like he isn’t the cofounder of Blur, which is why I’m over here like...
No joke, but I would love to see him have a Reality TV beat on a blog. Not sure it should be Jezebel, but it could be insightful.
Allen thinking Spencer was Bobby is kinda hilarious. I spent a smooth 5 minute laughing at this.
YES! I remember hearing “Dirty Laundry” by Bitter:Sweet during TV promos for ABC (I think it was a Samantha Who? promo) and spent the rest of the night Googling like a madwoman. Talk about effective music choices lol
Yeah, we’re both rabbit hole enthusiasts (she has more of a pulse for newer stuff). We’re also “mood listeners”, so more prone to listening to random playlists or radio stations that fit our current emotional states. Also, songs from pivotal scenes in TV shows or movies are good starting points. I’m a big soundtrack…
Well, to be fair, I’m sure she’ll allow the singles she releases to be streamed (Beyonce did with self-titled but the album wasn’t available until she released the extended version). It’s the whole album that won’t be available.
I think there is a skill to finding new music, whether it’s a new artist or just music you never thought to listen to. I just happen upon stuff and decide to go down a rabbit hole of “related artists”. But I have yet to get a suggestion from a dude. My friend Gabby used to intern for Janelle Monae (she’s even in a few…
You’re very welcome. There was a brief semester where I thought I was going to major in linguistics.
HAAAAAAAAAA! Nah, it was because my Zumba teacher included some of her songs in the workout mix. I had no choice in the matter.
That’s what I thought. She says other side first and then outside. Thank you for the info!
It’s called non-rhotacism, or being an “r-less” speaker. AAVE and Southern dialects feature it, too.
I think it was made more apparent in “Bang Bang” b/c it’s obvious that Jessie J started in musical theatre with how hard she sings her consonants. It was such a stark difference in singing styles, despite similar ranges.
The mush-mouth is real, ya dig. She has such a nice tone that her inability to enunciate actually detracts from her talent. I really want her to get a voice coach specifically to help her with this issue.
Ya know, I thought she said both phrases in the chorus. Maybe not.
