If it works then yeah I can see how it will make consoles obsolete, or at least very niche. Why would I spend $300-400 on a console when I could spend $50-100 (depending on the controller price) and play the same games at the same quality?

I wish I could forget ever playing Obra Dinn so I could play it again. The music, the mysteries, the wtf moments later in the story...its just a damn good game.

The thing is that Epic isn’t competing with 2004 Steam its competing with 2019 Steam with all of those features. It's completely fair to have expected them to have more available at launch than they did. 

They are making a lot of claims here on how its going to run but if it all actually works this is going to be huge.  Sony, MS, and Nintendo will still have their exclusives but outside of that this could really put a dent in the next generation of hardware.

I’m very intrigued about the idea and I want to see how it's executed.
