The problem with your argument is that the game you are buying is one physical good. I bought the item at some point which goes to the manufacturer and then I sell it to you so you can use it, at that point I don’t have any rights to that piece of property anymore. The price is immaterial no matter if it’s a $500 game

The thing that bugs me about this article is that I have read several articles from this very site about the work of video game archivists and how they are preserving games. The preservation argument presented to me is moot because we do know that work is happening in a more “official” capacity than just people

We both know its going to be $60. I will complain about it for about 10 seconds to get it out of my system before shrugging and just buying it.

I could almost talk myself into the NBC Sports Gold (or whatever it is) if it included every single EPL match but it doesn't even do that. I know the rights to all of this is expensive and the networks need to recoup their money somehow but there has to be a better way than this.

There are menacing saw blades and pixel-perfect jumps and moving spikes that require you to stand exactly in the right place if you don’t want to die....When Hollow Knight suddenly transformed into a punishing platformer, it cemented its status as one of my favorite games of this generation.

I do enjoy how everyone seems to be railing against Nintendo on this without admitting they would never pay for all the games they seem to believe they deserve to have just because they were released a long time ago. Sure they might buy a couple of games but they would never get the “300 games that I have on my

We all know punters are real football players anyways.

I might put a little more time into Fortnite for Switch to see if I can figure the controls and building out enough to make it fun for me. Beyond that I will likely be playing some Frostpunk and maybe talk myself into a NES classic.

I’m going to miss Deadspinners clicking on the article, going to the comments, and then complaining about how esports articles are on Deadspin.

I’m pretty much in the same spot. I have 110+ hours in BoTW but have been putting off Gannon because I want to finish finding all of the memories but also can’t stop myself from wondering what is over the next hill/mountain. However now every time I start thinking about playing I know I will dicker around and just

The problem is that some part of Chelsea’s schizophrenia is due to Hazard. When he’s on he’s damn near unstoppable but he’s not on enough to carry the team through tight spots. Lately it’s felt like he’s an every other year type player and one of my concerns going into this season was that it was time for his off

It does matter if you have young kids around. I pretty much have restricted my Twitch viewing until after my kids go to bed because they don’t need to hear swearing yet (and yes, they do repeat it on the occasion either my wife or I slip up). Maybe if they were teenagers I wouldn’t really care but any younger kid

Honestly as someone who still has a couple of GameCube controllers (and a Wavebird) I’m ready for them just to be phased out by now. I understood the need for them with the Wii but at this point with the pro controller I just don’t see the need.

Hey 37 isn’t old! Sure I several mysterious pains that I have no idea where they came from and a good night of drinking can lead to whole weekends being wasted and the other week I forgot my debit card PIN for like three days and....ah crap I might be getting old. At least I can still beat my kids in Mario Kart (for

When my wife first saw me playing the game she thought I was playing Myst....

I really enjoyed my first 15-20 hours in the game. Sailing around, getting into hijinks against other ships, going on quests...it was all a good time. After those hours though it just got boring for me. You can do the same fetch quests over and over to level up for cosmetics. PvP isn’t great, the actual fighting

I actually believe SniperNamedG was the third to make it up to legendary. There was another account that was shared and therefore active almost 24/7 that was second.

It depends on what you consider as an end game. Once you get to legendary it opens up a whole new faction to grind up. Beyond that you still have your standard PvPing to get involved with.

To me the biggest story is not how Prod1gyX got there but how little you actually get out of it. The grind to get 50 in all three factions is no joke and once you get get there you unlock one more costume and the ability to do more fetch quests. If that’s really the system what is going to be the point in leveling and

For me the risk/reward within the game is completely off. That ship that kept coming back to attack you had nothing to lose while you had the stronghold loot (or at least control of it) at stake. Almost every time that I have run into an aggressive crew they have had nothing of value to lose and so they have nothing
