I understand what you’re saying and you have a good point, but you can’t compare your upbringing with that of others or the emotional stability of the people doing the child rearing. Many people are just really fucked up and too many kids are products of that and don’t have the resources or emotional/ mental stability…

Don’t you think it’s a bit much to suggest that this woman or any other take hormones to control her period for this or any other event? If that’s an avenue she wanted to explore for those purposes, I’m sure that she likely would have.

First men need to be taught (from a young age) that it is OK to have emotions and express them (in a healthy way) before they learn to control them. I feel like this is the root of the problem or at least a big part of it.
