I find it’s important not to feed her trolling and ignore her. She wore a pro-Trump dress and that’s how she got on the national radar and she’s back for more.

It’s where a large number of actors who’ve appeared in Woody Allen films have been donating their pay, and where Mark Walbugh/CAA donated. Most of the money goes to a legal defense fund that aims to support women across different career fields.

“but when people talk about Great Britain, it’s about the English Defense League.”

Same. Haute Couture shit is really the only runway stuff I care about. It just look so fun and creative!

I hope so too, but they absolutely won’t. Until they need an abortion themselves.

Ugh you guys. I really wanted to march today but I’ve been having health issues and just wasn’t up for it today, energy-wise. I know I can only do as much as I can do, but I really needed something like this to remind me that so many of us are resisting this demented walrus. That’s my pity party — thanks for

As a lawyer who works with international corporations and who is also gay, I can say they have done a lot of the work to make being openly gay in my workplace not an issue. I get your point about it in the culture at large, but it has had a real effect on my workplace culture way better.

I have to echo that this is, at best, an empty platitude. Allen has only re-used actors a few times, he only has one movie every 2-3 years and he’s in his 80s. The horse left the barn a long time ago.

Yeah, it’s about resentment, that’s what I was trying to say, maybe not successfully. Resentment towards women, towards life, whatever, so that resentment becomes sexualized and expressed in a misogynistic way. This is why movements like white supremacy oftentimes can start with anti women sentiments, like gamergate.

Poor doggo, but for a minute I thought you were talking about Chunk from Goonies.

I’ve read some interesting articles about why men expose themselves to women. They state that it is this sexual resentment that is channeled into misogynistic rage, in so much that the sexual release of it is the fear and horror you cause in the woman. Basically to show her that she is powerless to do anything, and

I will be buying this for all the teachers I love and many school libraries

I was called “burnt chicken” in elementary school by someone I considered a friend. Messes with your head a bit. I’ll have to get this book for my younger self.

Love this. It’s hard enough being a black woman in white majority America, but then having to endure the colorism that is pervasive in the black community on top of that. I learned at an early age to ignore comments like “I don’t want to go out in the sun because I don’t want to get too black” spoken by black people

“I had begun to enjoy the seduction of inadequacy.”

I am already crying dammit. I wan 57 copies so I can hand them out to strangers.

I don’t know, if my daughter almost died because she won’t stop doing cocaine, and got back with her boyfriend who apparently enabled it, I wouldn’t be a fan of his either. She might be speaking out about it because she doesn’t know what else to do at this point.

I hold out hope that she, with the help of her team and family, can navigate things and end up more like Emma Watson. She’s a great young actress, and I hope like hell you end up wrong
