(SPOILERS in this for Captain America: Civil War)

It never occurred to me until just now to wonder about this, but if Tony Stark’s intel is so good that he’s not only aware of Spider-Man, but able to figure out his secret identity, AND if the government - the President, General What’s-His-Name, and the ATCU - are all

Does anybody know if Hayley Atwell and Enver Gjokaj did their own singing?

Tough question.

Since I’ve never read Childhood’s End, and I’ve never even heard of The Magicians, I would say The Expanse, because I absolutely love the series.

However, I don’t much care for their casting, and I kind of expect them to screw it up.

So, I remain undecided, I guess. Sorry.

I only have one question:

What’s wrong with Spock’s hair? It looks weird, and it’s downright distracting.

I hold out next to no hope whatsoever. And yet, I’ll probably have to see it. *sigh*

Well, it HAS to be better than the Bo Derek abomination, right?

Just saw the later comments explaining the title. Thanks for the clarification, folks.

I stand relieved. :)

I don’t mean to be dense or prudish, but does BFG stand for Big Fucking Giant? Because if it does, I’m pretty appalled that Disney now has the word “Fucking” - however abbreviated it might be - in the title of one of their movies.

If it stands for something else, i’ll be relieved to be corrected.

Apparently, I’ve lost my mind. It’s John Krasinski. Same question, though - what is that from?

Is that Zachary Levi? If so, what’s the gif from? Thanks.

Um, they totally mentioned Daredevil in Jessica Jones. I mean, they didn’t actually say the name, but Claire the nurse is the same character that she was in DD, and she made a veiled reference or two to having experience with super-powered types.

In the original Star Trek, in the epidsode ‘City on the Edge of Forever,’ they have to travel back in time to prevent a pacifist (played by Joan Collins) from preventing the US from entering World War II, which allows the Nazis to win and alters history.

When they figure out what they have to do - stop the pacifist

“Hope was not lost today... it is found.”

Does that mean that they’ve found... A New Hope?!?

Now playing

Is this the guy you’re talking about?:

His conscience was oddly troubled.

Not his “conscious.”

I’ve been aware of the pulps - and their artwork - since I was in high school, back in the 70s/80s. I owned a handful of Doc Savage pulps at one point, but lost them in Hurricane Katrina.

This is a really excellent book on the art of the pulps, although I’m sure there are many others:

The Heroes Reborn link isn’t redirecting to the right page, as far as I can tell.

Compelling bullshit beats out mundane reality every time.

That’s why reality TV shows and fortune-tellers and lotteries will always make money.

I absolutely LOVE that World War Z was included in this list. And I totally agree that the movie had absolutely nothing to do with the book, other than the fact that both had zombies.

I await a good version. Someday.

What about the inertialess drives in E.E. “Doc” Smith’s Lensmen series?

Anybody know?
