Disagree on that statement. Most have a little sticker of some sort for advertisement, a license plate frame or a special plate even showing it’s a rental car. Others have little round stickers where there’s dings even to show the ding was already there when you rented the car.

Counterpoint: don’t do this. I stored bags in rental car in Portugal and somebody must have seen me because they stole them right out of the trunk as soon as I left the car. Then I had two problems: the stuff was gone and the car was damaged.
