I absolutely appreciate the kindness of your comment.Lots of people on here making assumptions about my political affiliation, motives, interview questions. All wrong too.

Only when it’s confesed that way. And I have plenty of women and men with kids on staff. The men never stay home for the sake of their kids. Maybe speak to them about that.
Not me. asshole. Maybe they pass you by for attitude problems?
I don’t assume and I don’t ask. I have beent told, “my husband will not help out with childcare. I can never stay late because I have to fetch my son from daycare. I have to stay home when my child is sick.”
Cigarette breaks = 5 weeks of wasted productivity per employee.
That’s actually a useful solution. If we had a floater, the problem would be solved. I’ll ask HR about it. It would be much cheaper than the losses we incur when people have to miss work.
As someone who employs 30+ people, I struggle with this a lot. If I knew someone was going to have a kid and that someone didn’t have a plan for when kid gets sick, sings in school play, has a field trip, why would I hire her?
I sometimes thnk that things can’t get closer to Nazi Germany. We have children separated from their parents in jail for trying to immigrate; White supremacists in the highest offices; the President racially and sexually degrading women.Of course that’s all in the past week. But then, no, they somehow top themselves…
Then hopefully “some Black women” don’t have to rely on making whites happy to keep their job. I’m not one of them and obviously neither is Monique.
“Who she is” apparently is someone in need of a job. All of us make concessions to keep one.
Agree that her current strateg isn’t working and that the characters she plays have a hand in people wanting to skirt around her (see Richard Widmark syndrome), but what would another strategy be?
People are intimidated by strong Black women, period. It’s just how it is. It’s not changing. As woman of color, I know I have to temper everything I say with calming words and use a soothing tone. If I cursed and breathed fire like my white male counterparts, I’d be escorted out, maybe even arrested. I’m sure people…
There was a time, before he bought Tribeca, when De Niro did no press at all, much less an Oscar campaign. He was nominated all over the place and rightly took it home for Raging Bull, so there’s one example.
Seriosuly? Drake went in hard for Pusha T’s fiancee, so his own family bcaome fair game. He also had the choice to remain silent about it.
I love Kristy. And I’m Black. That’s as much synergy as I can give you.
Anyone wondering what “privilege” looks like, please review the many arrests under Ms. Locklear’s belt. Please show me a woman of color (men, haha) who could get away with beating up the cops TWICE. Don’t @ me about mental illness, because the cops don’t care when it comes to us.
Harry finally looks fuck stunned which is what happens after heavy doses of conjugal carnality.
True, Tommy Lee is an abusive asshole. Sounds like the apple fell within inches of the tree since Brandon admits to knocking him out. Generational violence. Sad.
Now I don’t have to learn how to pronounce his name.
That would be AFTER the second chance, hello.
