Maybe it’s a sampling error? Like I’m at a public university system and our humanaties and some of our social science students tend to be very into social justice and we’ve had loads of protests these past few months (granted, ours were mostly about adjuncts & contracts & funding & the like) and so if you poll them…
Sure.
You’re talking out your ass. I’m at a research university in the US and what you say couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Whatever it’s supposed to mean, this is a very cool bat. It looks like an aged fruit bat, who has lived a long time and lost some of his/her teeth. Bats are the best!
If you count twitter and facebook groups....maybe?
Yeah, ok.
Serious students pursuing degrees in hard sciences have to study in locked rooms so that BLM people will not barge in and scream at them.

It sounds like we went to very similar schools. When I was at my alma mater 10 years ago it was the second least diverse school in the country, behind BYU. People who use sjw as an insult are almost certainly bigots and definitely have the mental faculties of a concussed goldfish
I just got back from Florida myself.
News from from alma mater has certainly been filled with protests, and it’s about time. The underlying classism/racism was palpable when I went there, particularly because the surrounding area was working class and predominantly Latino. Just creating dialogue about it and acknowledging it is progress, because 15 years…
Of course, in SJW doublespeak “dialogue” means “sermon”.
I’m on spring break, so no.
The dialogue really amped up this academic year. Creating and implementing new policy won’t see results until next year, even then the change in outcomes will take more. It’s awesome to see the support some BLM chapters have recieved from schools, student orgs, and even elected officials regarding protesting in campus.
I bet you can’t even count the number of rights were won by the act of protest.
Everything has to start somewhere.
Increased dialogue is fine. Better policies and strong implementation would be nicer.
