Yeah HBO go worked fine and Max is garbage. Every company does this though. They have a simple app that works well and add more and more shit to try and increase “engagement” until it’s absolute shit. I don’t care what other people are watching. I don’t need 2/3 of the screen to be you telling me what you think I want

I couldn’t tell ya’…I normally celebrate with a “birthday month”.

I’ll take the over.

I feel like another real improvement would be to stop companies in a number of industries from allowing customers to bully and mistreat workers. Companies are so thirsty for every last cent that they’ll empower any and all customers to terrorize workers and make their lives miserable. Most customers don’t take the

honestly this is not how i’d try to do this. I’d cook the popcorn. then find a large mixing bowl. Melt the chocolate. Then toss them in the mixing bowl. Another way would be combine them in a large heat resistant bag to coat. But there’s no reason to cook the kernals and the chocolate at the same time.

Or if you do, charge double what you initially think you should charge

I had the wonderful fortune to see Sir Ian McKellen play Richard III live on stage from the second row of the theater. It was amazing. Giving the production an fascist tone and costumes was mind blowing.

Why not pop the popcorn and then toss it with finely chopped up chocolate while it’s still hot?

I’ve been experimenting with a silicone popcorn bowl that allows me to use stove-top popcorn in the microwave. To me, this thing is a game-changer. I’ve been messing around with various oils and seasoning (stirred into the oil) to try and create the perfect popcorn snack...to some success. I wonder how well it would

$900M. That's all that really matters to all the players in this story.

Yeah, this is what I don’t get. None of what you see feels authentic, even out of people you may happen to like a tiny bit more. And the world does not need a larger troupe of Gaines wannabes. The originals are already more than enough.

I feel like the bigger question is ‘will enough people pay a separate subscription fee to finance these networks continued existence’ which seems to now hold true for all of the Discovery networks. Except with the HGTV or magnolia or whatever things it looks like there’s going to be two or three of them doing pretty

Ugh, less focus on personalities and more focus on the realities of house repair/renovations, please.  The changes described here are one step on the slippery slope of these shows changing over to (barf) “reality” TV, where we’ll see 20+ minutes of manufactured drama and maybe 30 seconds of someone swinging a hammer.

Man, I am apparently in the minority of those who love stale, day-old still delightfully greasy popcorn. It’s the reason I get a medium.

The Fords are a god damn delight. I could watch them for hours. They’re smart and wry and funny and talented.

I was obsessed with that show!!!! That’s so awesome. When we first got cable and I discovered HGTV that was one of my go to shows. Another favorite from that time was The Carol Duvall show, which was the host doing various arts and craft projects. She made me want to decoupage everything.

This is why I only watch This Old House. No drama, no emotion, no personalities. Just renovation, pleasant chatter, and quality work. I have enough drama in my life, I don’t need to watch it on tv.

I wish they’d rehab apartments.

I’ve watched shows from both Bravo and HGTV, and the “interpersonal” component always seems staged. I don’t think there’s a sincere interaction on any of these shows.

What the people want and need is House Hunters Renovations!!
