I thought Jasper and Horace were particularly well done.

I think “Cruella” was perfectly fine for what it is, but I admit to having a soft spot for Emma Stone.

I don’t think it’s supposed to tie directly into the original (animated or live-action). It’s possibly more of a prequel to the book, if anything, though I haven’t read it to know for sure. Or alternatively it’s a prequel to a different version of 101 Dalmatians, one with a more Roald Dahl-ish tone.

I suggest you actually watch the film before you cast judgement. As I said, they do not contradict the original story or character at all. They add dimension to make an entertaining movie.

Making a cartoon villain less cartoonish is another way of saying, “Let’s make her boring.” The whole reason the original Cruella works is because she’s over-the-top ridiculous, which is what you need in a movie about talking dogs. She doesn’t need an origin story for the same reason we don’t need a dark gritty

Now playing

Sorry, this is the best scene of 2021 so far. I love it so (the scene; I haven’t seen the movie. But this scene should win all the awards)

These people really are either dumb as a box of rocks or just terrible people (or both?) and their continued success just confuses the hell out of me.

This. I have a lot of friends especially mid 20's to 30's who worked service jobs through the pandemic who simply believe they can’t risk having a day off to be sick if they get the vaccine. They hear stories of people getting a fever for a few days after the vaccine and worry if that happens they will lose their jobs

We’ve been offered 2 hours paid leave to get the vaccine, which is great, except it should probably be 2 days because um...side effects.

Some employers are literally having vans go to factories and vaccinate people, which is a smart move.

On the one hand: Whatever it takes to vaccinate people, let’s do it.

True. And being really awful at everything is actually on brand for the Trumps, Florida and the current version of the GOP.

Crime won't bring him down. Someone needs to be investigating the kids to keep them from trying to pick up the mantle. None of them will be good at it, but Ivanka and junior could probably win seats in Florida and still fuck things up worse than the dipshits that are already there.

I mean, a few months ago I told someone off because they said that if your neighbors are being too loud you should just knock on their door and hang out at their party too and I was like IT’S A GD PANDEMIC and they were like uh I made this comment in 2017.

I posted that comment on March 8. I was thankfully able to get my first dose on April 12, will be fully vaccinated on Tuesday.

My question is, what is the WHO’s recommendation for people who have been vaccinated?

This is definitely going to cause some confusion! Here is, for example, the state of affairs in Florida: the state government never issued a mask mandate, but for several months allowed county governments and municipalities to do so. Following local mandates, many local businesses then adopted private mask policies.

As the parent of a two year old who likely won’t be vaccinated for months, if she’s lucky enough to get vaccinated at all this year, this just confuses me/stresses me out more.

One of our local restaurants had to ask us to leave Saturday afternoon because they were closing early since no one came to work. The server was near tears worried she was going to get yelled at. Instead, we told her it wasn’t her fault. She showed up to work. Where was the owner/ manager?  When the owner posted on FB

I feel like I’m just more confused now...my partner is fully vaccinated. My state is predicting that I will not be vaccinated until July. Most of my partner’s friends are vaccinated. But I assume she should not be socializing indoors, unmasked with vaccinated people because there is still a chance she could then bring
