I don’t know how little your house is, but my house is so small the kitchen is not much bigger than a kitchen island. (850sf, but I do have a finished basement that adds to the space!)

I bought a little house this summer. It was built in 1925, bought last year by a flipper and we bought the renovated results. Roughly 70% of the first floor was made into a huge kitchen with a huge island. While gorgeous and equipped with enough storage and such that we can cook basically anything in it, the sheer…
Yup. I mean, I don’t think that they can safely attribute fever, body aches etc to the vaccine without ruling out covid, right? It’s going to be tough.
Really glad to see the point being made that side effects indicate it’s working. Last year when my daughter at 12 months got her first MMR shot, about a week later she had some spots that looked like measles on her face. I figured it was just the vaccine working its way through her system and when i called the…
I’m wondering about staggering dosing for healthcare workers and residents of long term care facilities. Staffing is generally bare bones at those places so potentially having a portion of staff out while a portion of residents are simultaneously ill with vaccine side effects is kind of a nightmare. Not to mention…
Is the (guarded) statement that the side effects “might be a little more severe” based on anything in particular? Is it just that there are two doses, so potentially double the chance for showing a side effect, any side effect? Or has info been released as to what sort of adjuvants, buffers and/or preservatives to…
I’m going with “Better than the relentless loneliness”
I was listening to a program about this last night. The doctor was advocating for more info being released to them (instead of just press releases). Her take was that it is important to start educating about side effects now. She posited that second vaccine follow up will be better if the side effects did not take…
I agree. I bet there will be a flood of social media conspiracists making wild claims. What’s scarier is that 50% of Americans won’t get it when it’s available to the public. I could be wrong about that percentage since I can’t find an actual poll and went with the most recent news article.
I wonder if the public awareness campaign on the side effects will make a lot of people feel worse. It’s medicine, and you can’t withhold information from patients, but for a lot of people this might be their first vaccine (of any kind) in years. They are going to freak out a little bit about it.
If you have soreness in the muscle tissue, I wonder if technique (aka, Grumpy Nurse) is the cause. My muscle usually feels fine, it’s the lymph node that gets unhappy. It’s a small thing to complain about, but it happens.
I’m not sure if it has to do with the strain in different years, or the person given the vaccination, but my reaction to the flu shot varies quite a bit from year to year. This year I had very little discomfort at all. A couple of years ago the guy giving the vaccine seemed very grumpy, and it hurt quite a bit when he…
I have armpit swelling on the vaccine side each time I get my flu shot. It lasts a couple days. Bring it on!
Thanks for sharing your stories, kidelo. Just wanted to say two things briefly: I’m very sorry those things happened to you, and you’ve always been one of my very favorite posters here.

Dear Lara,
Similar to Seth’s show, I don’t find Amber’s show that amusing when she is trying to do comedy routines (some, like her meeting an ancestor, feel somewhat hesitant and unfinished), but much moreso when her personality shines through or she is interacting with her co-host. She and Tarik Davis have a great rapport - I…
Soooo... when you say the finale of her show is at the end of this month... you mean the season finale, right? Because her show is delightful and I want more.
Especially places like local food banks, animal shelters, etc. So many are hurting financially from the pandemic and could use the $25, $50 or whatever your relatives would spend on something you really don’t need or want.
How about we meet in the middle and they can send the 4th set of whiskey stones they were going to get me to the charity of my choice?
