I’ve got to respectfully disagree with you. In this day and age where you might be the victim of a mass shooter in any place (at least in the great USA) at any time, so if you’re being no louder than the rest of the people in your location (cafe, restaurant, park), you should feel free to speak to your loved ones. 

I do that regularly when I want to stop at the store rather than go right home from work. Next thing I know I’m home and forgot to pick up milk or a prescription. Because my brain is so used to the routine. I can absolutely see if your part of the routine is the pick up you completely forgot you had a once a month…

That’s a really interesting point. Maybe there needs to be a law limiting their liability to gross negligence to indemnify them for imperfections and failures (because electronics fail). 

I don’t understand your point about wiring because children have always died because their parent makes a mistake. Because it’s not physically possible to keep and eye on you children 24/7. They wander off. They fall in a pool. They get left in a car. They climb on something and fall or it falls on them.

Before you reply with how you would pay more for better service, it does not matter what you would do, it matters what the bulk of customers would do.

I would write to the station manager that you find it offensive and sexist that Ted Baxter would suggest any women smile more but especially a US Senator running for president. That he should be spoken to, apologize for being so offensive and if it ever happens again you will never watch their news again.

I agree. I heard that on Fresh Air and somehow it was proof that Tweeden’s statement that he wrote the skit for her was a lie. By her. Rather than that Frankin told her (and probably many other women) that he wrote something especially for her then used that lie to touch her and those other women.

People just getting started with tracking their expenses or someone who has tracked them on a spreadsheet and considering an app might be unwilling to try something that’s going to cost nearly $100/year. Why waste time setting up and inputting when you know you’d never consider committing to it?
