The IOC is made up of well-connected, self-serving grifters and really ought to be abolished. Poor neighborhoods razed for sports buildings that never the reuse the IOC tries to sell, renters kicked out of apartments so landlords can cash in on the wealthy tourists.

Given the history of the IOC, I’m not that shocked.
