I dunno. Maybe it’s just fun?

Hindsight is 20/20, and I know, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t as a pop culture site, but I probably would’ve erred on the side of caution on this one - if you want to comment on how icky it is that this is getting platformed, by all means. But I think the right thing to do would have been to avoid

I watched the first season out of mild curiosity, and hoping something about it could justify its existence, but I found it boring, unfunny, and confusingly disdainful of its source material. I hope everyone working on this continues to enjoy employment on other shows, because this one stinks.

To me, it sounds like an AI-generated result of a, “sing me a Billy Joel song about his prolonged absence” prompt

I guess “Christopher Eccelston believes intimacy coordinators benefit everyone involved” doesn’t make for a spicy enough headline

I think they could work as long as they were natural extensions of the extant shows. Since most shows are serialized, if the show were building up to some major event, then they could actually have it culminate in a theatrically-released movie (instead of rushing the end, as they seem to in the shows).

Wow, I thought it was more popular (but clearly not, given that neither the list nor the commenters have mentioned it), but a family favourite is the Boney M Christmas Album.

For my money, the best performers of the anthems - American and Canadian - were the OG Barenaked Ladies. Here they are in 2002 singing both:

I want a woman who looks at me the way that Maya Hawke looks at Bryan Cranston...

Maybe Ke$ha was too old for him

It’s such a vast galaxy that there’s room for all kinds of stories within it. I imagine a Star Wars universe where there are the Trilogy films, which are the large, wondrous epics involving a handful of players, and then there are one-off projects, that are maybe fun adventures, silly comedies, grisly horror, serious

It’s not a Sam Barsanti article (which I purposely avoid), so it improved the odds of it being snark-free

I assumed that since they bothered to announce that there was a “door”, that this was HoloHari from Helicon (HeliHoloHari? Triple H?)

How many of us weren’t aware that there would not be through line between all of these episodes? I remember seeing official word that these episodes were at the very least canon before the series even began. (The leap from, “these are canon” to, “these are interconnected in some narrative sense” was a natural one for
