It is a car that is close but off, and when in a market that has several good options, you cant afford to be off. I believe a lot of the frustration comes from people seeing the Escala and expecting it; it looked production ready. Instead we get the CT5, a car that looks fine, but has odd details incongruent to the

It looks like a poorly translated alternative from a lower-tier brand. The cues are there, but the heart, soul, and overall design is absent.

Escalade doesnt do much for me as a name, ir as a truck; but Escala is great at audibly communicating beauty, luxury, and a ‘of the Riviera’ sort of tone.

Don't lie to me!

Sweet, now that names are back, we can get back to the cars Cadillac should be making:

Good luck and be safe on 70 — I try to avoid that bugger anytime I decide to go to one of the mountain towns (although it is a beautiful drive in summer). Your best insurance is winter tires (or at least 3PMS rated).

Take the Z71 grill out of the equation. Is your statement also factoring for the design of the sides, the rear, the interior, wheels, etc?

Added thought that comes from my Jeep (XJ) Cherokee-affected brain; you should silk screen “In case of coolant leak, break glass” -- no idea if such worried plague the ‘Slant 6'. :)

I get why people may be upset by the branding and more-so marketing, but this is a free country, with freedom of speech, freedom of liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. There was no refusal of service based on skin color or origin country. You’d have to be a fool to consider ‘American Chinese’ as any form of

The brands need to figure it out. A PHEV Mustang or Camaro would be pretty awesome, even if only the 4cyl-Turbo options to start. Or go full send and do the V8's with added torque via the e-motor in ‘sport mode’ but in normal mode, they get 30-40 miles of EV-only range.

My family calls it ‘flowery’ and it ruins apples for us. Red Delicious are the biggest offenders, but I’ve had plenty of Envy, Pink Lady, and Honycrisps that were past their prime start to get to that point.

I look at the menu and if I don’t identify something I *must* have before the waters are at the table, usually I have it nailed down to three items, I’ll ask for input from the server.

That is thoughtful, creative, and damn cool!

The Escala and Sixteen showed us futures we were too damned to see happen.

“Fucking send it!” - Steve Carlisle, CEO of Cadillac

There is one of their designers that has posted here before and she is quite active on Instagram as well. She is a solid car enthusiast and seems to have a great eye for design. I do believe she is on the truck projects, but no idea to what degree or where her emphasis was, if at all on the new platform’s front-ends.

I need to scour for pictures of my family’s fleet. They were indifferent parents but they did own some amazing cars.

I adore car art, but it is often hard to find well-designed pieces in the swamp of Chinese prints out of Etsy/Pinterest.

Do they have a pedal-override option? This looks pretty fantastic, but I’d like actual pedals for the benefit of exercise, and a backup plan should I run down the charge before home or back to the car.

The lack of a diesel on the Z71 makes as much sense as the Z71'a grill design.
