A rather unique username that was hard to forget. Been quite a few years since I’d been there. I believe the last time I logged in was when mfp/Jason passed away. I was local to him and posted as Dopefish back then.

Side note. [H]|Cars?

The Wright brothers didn’t start with mass transit either.

Blogging: A career where you can collect revenue by voicing the moral high-ground stance, while also collecting revenue through advertising the very thing you are against.

“Flying, as I have written before, is one of the more vexing climate-related problems facing transportation. There are no good answers for cleaning up aviation except to fly a whole lot less”

Aaron, is there any reason you can’t have your cake and eat it too? God I hate that saying, who on Earth procures a cake and DOESN’T eat it? Just dumb, but the sentiment is sound. Your budget is generous for the goals; how about two cars? Drive the boring four-seater when you must, and drive the classic when you can.

I like it a lot, the interior too. There is a certain softness they placed into the design that has been absent from Toyots up until this and the current Supra. I really don’t care for the new Supra design as a whole, but the softening of lines is appreciated.

You’re not wrong, but I’m not any happier about it.

I don’t care for making such comparisons, but it’s essentially the same thing.

I don’t know enough about these, nor am I in the market for this class of vehicle, but I do like it. The colors suite, though I’d argue a lighter interior might look nicer against the darker exterior, and I like the idea of a sporty, kinda-fast, kinda-practical, and unique SUV. I’m honestly surprised Porsche’s first

If Tesla focused on being a battery and controls company, they’d likely make boatloads of money. The licensing alone would be profitable, but offering engineered battery and control systems as a tier 1 for long-standing automakers to integrate into their own packages would be a streamlined and still forward-looking

Sounds like a wild and varied selection (except for the fact you have a butt-load of Porsches). Will any be sticking around or is everyone on the chopping block?

*Slowly looks over at the entire family of Audi cars on VW platforms, particularly the VW Pheaton, and Audi A8, riding on the same chassis as the Continental*

Before you start purging yourself of life’s possessions — how about a story on your current collection, where stands, and why what will survive the culling will be chosen to stick around.

Glad you are okay — sounds like you got hit with an 18-wheeler of health troubles all at once! You’re also making me worry about my coffee intake...

In the same way a Bentley is just a glorified, overpriced VW. *shrug*

Astonishing how efficient the government *can* work when it wants to.

I like small cars, a LOT! My favorite car is the current generation Miata/Fiata, and prior to that, my favorite car was the FD RX-7, which I spent eight happy years in before life necessitated we part ways.

I’d like to know how these articles and analysis deep-dives calculate the net CO-emissions (or any emissions) per source. How do they calculate how much is from each source and with any level of accuracy?
