Yea, I believe they were inspired by 90's gaming. I don’t care for Tesla, but at least they occasionally have a sense of humor.

Not sure about that one, wouldn’t surprise me though if it were the case.
They made some value-driven decisions to reduce the price 33%, compared to the standard model, which is still available for those wanting the features.
I’d be okay with an EV en mass future (assuming infrastructure catches up and mining practices improve to preserve the environment), if ICE cars still had a place in this capacity. I can’t imagine an EV Miata — it’ll likely happen, and probably should, but I don’t see the same charm and fun from it.
I think we are three generations (~10 years) away from competent alternatives to ICE, that are as obtainable as a Cayman/Boxster, or Mustang GT, further than that for alternatives to the Miata and GTI. Manufacturers are struggling to make electric drivetrains, none outside of Tesla are making money on the, with even…
They can ignore the P100D, for now, because the 0-60 time it achieves is unreliable. It can manage it on a full battery, but after a few pulls, the 0-60 time increases due to lower available current and heat concerns with the powertain.
Agreed. I only buy new tires now, but have gone with used tires in the past. For me it is a consistency concern, and assuring that for a given labor cost (tire mount/balance), I’m getting the most miles for the other metrics of performance I targeted.
I accept all of the cheapening with your projects, but tires and brakes should be excluded from the junkyard salvage plan.
Thanks, I always goof that up.
I must apologize as I failed to adhere to the preference for an automatic. The good news is all of my suggestions have good automatics as options.
Man this one is a true challenge. 15k is a good working price though, so I will make some oddball suggestions that are surprisingly roomy but are biased toward small-car fun.
Every car I’ve ever owned that used gas struts for the hood or trunk, experienced failures. It was years into ownership (usually by year 8) but it happened. I know now just to proactively replace the bastards when they show signs of weakness (in the cold) or after 5 years of dutiful service. I’m astonished you’ve…

Yea, I consider myself quite patriotic, and I love my country despite some of the faults.
Zero makes a damn good bike, they have experience engineering electric bikes, and yet are tiny compared to HD, making it difficult for them to gain savings on material and parts acquisition through volume.
Possible, though from what little I heard from an insider, their powertrain was developed internally, with the help of a commercially developed battery pack. It really is a fantastic bike, one that could redefine Harley, if only they’d ditch their pricing and consider themselves the pup in the market instead of the…
My friend and I rode the prototype and loved it. Performance was there, but range fell short if you wanted more than a city bike (or one-way bomber). Sounds like the range concerns have been addressed, but the price is now double what I considered fair for the bike. When asked by the HD team what we expected from a…

Black people, stop bitching about fictional black characters being re-imagined as white characters.
The FIAT 500 Abarth is GREAT! More reliable than you’d expect, quick, good on fuel, and fun, especially if you opt for a manual. It is FWD and it is small, but roomy enough for two adults, a lot of groceries, and a kayak on top. You have to drive them to understand just how fun they are to hoon around, while still…
For sake of screen time to the better car I’d agree, but for the sake of storytelling, the GT-R had to be first and brief. The GT-R was Brian’s and he built it, grew with it, and kept life moving forward with it, prior to being caught by the DEA/FBI task force. They then forced the Evo upon him and it played into the…
