Oddly, these are all great suggestions. I am not much for the FJ as I’d like to be, but that

Have you driven the Mazda3? One of the things I enjoy most about the new model (and even the last generation) was that the interior was simple, easy to interact with, and low on distractions. It felt like a simpler car than it was when using it; and while I’m anti-tech in cars (self-admitted contrarian engineer), it

There is something wrong with the 2.4L design, and it isn’t just the lack of a turbo.

We REALLY wanted to like these. Sadly, not even a manual can fix the Renegade’s key flaws.

It was the greatest disappointment of our recent car search. The A-pillars are horrendous, the interior is awkwardly laid out, the seats aren’t as comfortable as other FCA products, interior volume in the rear storage area, and

All vanity plates done in the English language are thus ‘Inside Jokes’.

Loves This Trap.

I like it! I’ve been wanting to get custom plates for my RX-8 and Mach1, but cannot think of anything I deem fun or clever enough to justify it in the first place. My FD RX-7 had ‘TRNGLS’, which led to no end of confusion and questions.

The best plate I’ve ever seen in play came from a co-worker that had a Mercedes

I’d prefer a manual, but a good DSG would be livable. I know it is better than a manual, but in a simple sports car, I want to manage the gear changes myself, as part of the experience.

A more accurate title, and use of hubris: “Hubris is my writing an article shaming some dude, for enjoying racing, out of spite for his limited technology.”

No. GM relaunched the LT1 engine code with the 5th generation of the small-block, first appearing in the 2014 Corvette. This is actually the 3rd iteration of the engine code, the first appearing in the 70's.

A decade later they still haven’t addressed the visibility concerns.

Slight goof I just noticed: The first paragraph relates to the 5.0L Coyote engine and is applicable to all three generations of it. The second paragraph is about the Ecoboost 2.3L specifically, though was stated too vaguely to be clear to the reader. :/

Fix your hot-mess Nissan:

Crackpipe

Do you mind sharing points of reference for the 2.3L?

The Ecoboost is a fine engine if you leave it stock, or only mildly modify it. After 400hp it gets real difficult to make power due to the tiny ports on the head. Those with big turbos, making power are doing so with 25psi+ and often times a built motor to take the abuse. If you are okay with *only* 400hp, you get to

Hey! I buy all of the stupid cars, Jalop approved and mostly otherwise.

-Mazda RX-8, ya know, the wrong rotary
-Mazda Miata (ND), ya know, the wrong Miata
-Fiat 500 Sport, ya know, the wrong FIAT
-Fiat 500 Abarth, ya know, the wrong, oh wait.
-Pontiac G8 GT, the one we all wanted but no one bought
-Audi CoupeGT
-VW Scirocco

I’m an oddball; I actually prefer the cloth seats in this generation (not sure if the Recaros can be had in cloth in the 2015+ models). I am of the same mindset that a 5.0 is the right engine for the Mustang, but there is nothing wrong with the EcoBoost, and they make great power with just a tune.

I’d enjoy an

They already have Signature, no doubt, it’ll be ‘Premium Signature’ to show it is a combination and advancement of all that comes before it.
